Hi All, my name is Karen and welcome to MACHIMA. My mission is to create a space that EMPOWERS and UPLIFTS humanity. To create a community of likeminded individuals who seek self-discovery, healing and acceptance. First and foremost, I am of Philippine decent, and I am very proud of the filipino culture that I have been raised into. That’s why I wanted to start this line with tagalog words for 2 reasons: 1. to let the younger generation know that our tagalog words are beautiful and worth showing to everyone they come in contact with and 2. I wanted to educate those who are not familiar with the filipino culture and hopefully by them seeing tagalog words, open up a conversation surrounding it. Then we have a line of 'I AM'. When spoken, 'I AM' is powerful phrase that affirms the truth within us. I believe when 'I AM' is spoken and seen repeatedly, we give ourselves permission to become who we were born to be. MACHIMA is a term of endearment my mother used to call me and the people she loved. She is the driving force of all these creations. With every word and phrase, it is through her I create. My mother used to adore elephants and what better way to honor her, then make my logo my mom (big elephant), my sister (medium elephant) and me (baby elephant). Both my sister and I would not be here without my mother's hard work and dedication to our family. Thank you for coming to visit, make yourself at home. <3 MACHIMA
